"Azerbaijani NGO Successfully Represented at the UN CSW70 Session "


Sonmaz Mashall Cultural Relations Public Union has successfully implemented a project aimed at representation within the framework of the 70th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70). "

The main objective of the project was to promote the role of culture and creative expression in advancing women’s empowerment at the international level.

At the session held in New York, Azerbaijan was represented by Shahla Naghiyeva, chair of the organization, Professor of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, and board member Gunay Hasanova. Within the project, the representatives participated in international panels and discussions, delivered statements, and explored opportunities for cooperation with partners from various countries. The discussions highlighted key issues such as women’s rights, gender equality, access to justice, and the role of culture in these processes. As a result, new international partnerships were established, and the importance of culture in empowering women was once again emphasized.

The activities carried out within the project demonstrated the active engagement of Azerbaijani civil society at the international level and were successfully completed.
